My name is Andrea Rosenberger and I was born in Southern California on a Sunday morning, September 21st 1980. The timing of my birth is rather significant, and not merely because my father made it home in time to catch the Steelers game on televison that afternoon. I was born into a generation that has almost no knowledge of what the world was like without computers or the Internet. Although well divided along various social, political, and economic lines, individuals born around and subsequent to 1980 have become the “natives” of cyberspace. As it was during the age of conquest hundreds of years ago, a class of people has arisen up with a personal stake in the proceedings if for no other reason than the fact that they live here.
