Attendance

Attend class regularly, arriving on time. Three or more absences may result in a grade being significantly lowered.

Participation

Prepare for class by reading the assignments by the designated date; excellent participation may significantly raise a grade.

Academic honesty

All work that you submit must be your own. Any phrases that you take from another source--oral, print, or web--must be punctuated as a quotation and must be attributed properly to their source. Similarly, any ideas that you derive from another source must be attributed properly to that source. I will report to the Dean all instances of not following these rules--that is, of plagiarism. Penalties will range from failure of the assignment to suspension or expulsion from the university.
